The Ideal Palace of Postman Cheval is located in the heart of the village of Hauterives, near the town hall square. It is built in a lush garden of about 1,000 m2.
To understand the history of the famous postman of Hauterives, a visit to the Museum is essential (included in the visit). In this convivial area, you can discover the life and sources of inspiration of Postman Cheval, as well as the tributes of many artists (André Breton, Max Ernst, Pablo Picasso, Niki de Saint Phalle…)
At the bottom of the 3 giants, our guides will show you the amazing history of Postman Cheval and the stages of construction of the monument. It’s fascinating!
