PLAY, EVADE, DRAW…
This is what we offer in our imagination workshops! We begin with a visit to the Palace in order to understand the work and approach of our famous Facteur Cheval. Then it’s time for collective artistic practice in the workshop. Here, we stimulate curiosity, inventiveness and genius.
The Touchatou workshop is intended for school groups from the kindergarten. They take place every Monday and Tuesday outside school holidays and they include 1 hour of visit plus 1 hour of workshop.
By the way, what is “le Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval”? A museum ? A castle ? A garden ? A mosque ? Something crazy? As a group, the children have a mission: to understand this strange monument, unique in the world. We count, we observe, we note, we measure, we imagine, we discuss, we run to see everything: animals, imaginary characters, strange dwellings and even quotes… Everyone becomes a budding architect to do the tour of this strange monument. It’s up to you to answer: do you have to be crazy, superhuman, brilliant or a postman to invent an imaginary palace?
A pocket palace, an unusual cabin, a not-so-Eiffel tower…here are some ideas for building an ideal city! I cut, you paste, he builds, we imagine…with everything, with nothing, the children create an imaginary world like that of the Horse Postman.
